Duplicating A Registered Product

Duplicating A Registered Product

In many cases we work with materials our company can buy from different suppliers. Generally, the information about these
products is practically identical, except for the supplier and the prices.

To facilitate the registration of similar products, G3w offers us the option to duplicate a product we have just registered. Let
us look at this process.

After adding the first product, the system displays a chart containing information of that product (code assigned by the
system, description, external code, supplier, manufacturer, model and the remark we have left).
In addition, there may be 4 icons:
• icon mobile device indicates it is a product with remote access,
• icon warehouse indicates it is a product with stock control enabled.
• icon down arrow allows us to display the complete product information.
• icon paper and pencil allows us to edit and display all the product details, and introduce changes as
we deem appropriate.

We click the icon paper and pencil. We access the Product record containing all the product information:
• grey area with generic product details
• blue Rates area containing information of their prices
• yellow Stocks area containing information of their prices
• button panels in the lower area: option update, option price ranges, option cancel, option eliminate, option
duplicate, option entry of materials and the option exit of materials
We click the option duplicate to replicate the product we have just added. The system displays a message that informs us
that:
- a new materials item will be created using the data that is currently displayed
- the special prices that have been defined will be copied.
- for obvious reasons, stock data will not be duplicated.
We click the option duplicate to continue with the operation or the option cancel to abort the process.

After duplicating the product, the system displays the duplicate product we have just created in chart format. We press the
icon paper and pencil on the right to edit and modify the necessary information (for example, the supplier name, their prices
etc.). Once all the modifications have been entered, press the option update.
