Registration Of A Warehouse
Before explaining the registration process of a warehouse, we would like to review these two items:
• throughout the G3w implementation process, the warehouse registration takes place (the main warehouse).
• later, we may create as many warehouses as our company needs. In this sense, we can even register our
technicians’ vans as if they were small warehouses; we may create virtual warehouses to keep the material that
we are going to use specifically in a specific job...
We will now proceed to explain how we can register a warehouse.
From the Main menu / button warehouse / button manage warehouses we access the window Manage warehouses,
from where we can either register a new warehouse or search for an existing warehouse at our company.
To register a warehouse, we click the option Add. A window opens where we have to enter the necessary information for
the warehouse registration:
• field warehouse: we enter the name by which we want to identify the warehouse
• field address: we enter the warehouse’s address
• field town: we enter the town the warehouse is located
• field province: we enter the warehouse’s province
• field postcode: we enter the warehouse’s postcode
• field telephone: we enter the warehouse’s telephone number
• field email: we enter the warehouse manager’s email address
• field number plate: we enter the registration number if we are registering a van as a warehouse
• field person responsible: we enter the warehouse manager’s name
We click the option create to validate the warehouse registration.
The warehouse details we have just created are displayed as a summary containing certain information (name, van
registration number, address, population and telephone). There are 2 icons on the right, the icon down arrow (which allows
us to edit the warehouse to query the remaining data) and the icon paper and pencil (with which we can modify or delete
the warehouse during the registration process).
When we click the option cancel we proceed to abort the registration process.
